Who died in the plot? Did her husband get killed by his dad?
The infertile husband died. But not sure how/why.
I just watched the earlier movie in this series, subbed, to try to figure it out.
[DASS-179] Young Wife Made Pregnant by Perverted Stepfather’s Seed for Succession – Natsu Tojo
But the husband doesn’t die in that earlier movie, so it wasn’t much help at all
(It had one line in it about how she had to have sex to produce an heir every day except “the funeral.” But there wasn’t a funeral shown, and I wonder if that was just a translation problem. . .)
Mitani tells her husband the truth: that she has been sleeping with his father. The cucked husband falls into despair, and ends his own life.
In the funeral scene, where the grieving mother accuses Akari, “This is all your fault”, Akari explains how this happened: 交通事故. A “traffic incident”. Our hapless young groom jumped in front of a train 🙁

The earlier movie did not start showing that an infertile husband had died. In fact, the infertile husband didn’t die in the earlier movie. Instead, he perversely got in the habit of listening from outside of the bedroom door as his wife and father “did it.”
And in the earlier movie, when the mother-in-law learns Toujou Natsu has been just lying there in bed (like a dead fish) while her husband exhausts himself trying to make a baby with Toujou Natsu – she asks the butler to start being Toujou Natsu‘s sex partner, to teach her to be an enthusiastic sex pervert – good in bed – so that the father in law will have a better time making her pregnant. . .
