How can a male translate to a female, a son-in law translate to daughter-in law?
婿 • (muko) means a husband who has entered his wife’s house, a son-in-law, a groom, bridegroom (man who is about to get married)
And yet, 娘 (Musume) standing alone translates to Daughter, per Google Translate
Together 娘 (Musume) and 婿 • (muko) apparently combine to become
娘婿 (musumemuko) – which per Google Translate, means “adopted son-in-law”
(Don’t know – just read the stuff. . .)
So, despite the obvious that one understands when thinking about the movies in the series, the site’s titles have included what I assume are computer translations from a language problem that is hard for computer programmers, that were not well reviewed by a person fluent in both languages. . .
