If you ask me, IP’s got the best lighting technicians, period. They trademarked the “dark studio with blueish/purple lighting/accent in the background” long ago yet the girls are always properly illuminated. No “action barely visible in the shadow” bs.
In fact they have such distinctive color schemes and styles I now automatically associate them with “higher production values”. It’s like being used to movies being shot at lower fps and then getting the “soap opera” effect with stuff shot directly on video. I just see the colorful studios used for their nursery / school series or the dark places for plot-less movies and I automatically think it’s going to be good.
