Yotsuba Kana 四ッ葉かな
Contrasted with the similar name:
Kominato Yotsuha 小湊よつ葉
Only one character in common. The kanji – 葉 • (ha) meaning leaf, needle, blade (of a plant)
But Google translate at least translates よつ葉 as Yotsuha (with an h)
Google translate translates 四ッ葉 as Shi hha – not as Yotsuba (with a b)
Both よつ葉 and 四ッ葉 apparently mean Four Leaf Clover . . . No matter how Google Translate indicates they should be pronounced.
I’m re-posting a comment (with modifications) that I had made on 4 15 2025, that is “gone” – along with intelligent, fluent, educated helpful replies it had drawn from Andrew and TS60. Not sure if those old comments will be recovered, or if they are “gone” after the site was down for about 10 hours, and seems to have been restored without much of the 4 15 and 4 16 commenting. .
