Very closely aligned with https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/La_Belle_Noiseuse. I wonder if this film would feature a near real time depiction of the artist sketching the wife, like in the French film.

My earlier reply did not get posted, possibly because I included an external URL. 2nd attempt. This is a JAV take on the French film La Belle Noiseuse (The Beautiful Annoyance). The script is similar upto the point where the nude model pushes a table away. That seems to be the trigger for this one to segue into JAV mode. The French film keeps things at a mental/psychic level. The high level outcome is still the same though.
The original film was infamous for featuring an extended sequence where an entire sketching is completely captured on film.
It was a real change in plot toward La Belle Noiseuse.
I checked the plot of the previous installment in the series. It had said nothing about the artist who had years earlier been painting a piece using his wife as a model, but his wife ran away from him and he put down the painting unfinished.
The description of the earlier movie in the series was merely:
My husband, who works as a temporary staffing agency, was asked by painter Nakata to introduce a drawing model. However, on the day of the event, the planned model was canceled at the last minute. Miharu, who happened to be there, agreed to be a substitute model on the condition that she would not take off her clothes. Fortunately, Nakata likes Miharu and starts drawing, but he requests a nude drawing that was not in the original contract. Miharu, who can no longer endure Nakata’s pressure, begins to take off her upset husband.

This is definately an interesting take on the “Nude Model” series using an artist instead of a photographer, spoiler alert). The title is a bit of a stretch… “became a nude model and was stolen”. Hino goes from arrogant and antagonistic, to subserviant and then back to arrogant and a beast. In the end, she takes and gives pleasure in equal amounts from all the guys, (except her husband, (don’t you know)) and she reigns supreme. Good story and Hino was excellent in her performance.

Didn’t know the original material or La Belle Noiseu was a story Le Chef-d’œuvre inconnu by Balzac.
That’s a lot of culture swirling around Toru Ozawa pretending to sketch. . .

Glad you did. The parallels are very slight, but I was amazed at the table kicking scene which is clearly a nod from these makers to the French film.
