Suzume Mino is a police investigator pursuing a drug organization.
She manages to establish contact with a dealer (Aoi) who provides her with some samples. To verify the authenticity of the drug, she decides to try it herself, not fully comprehending the implications.
Following this initial encounter, she experiences a powerful addiction and returns to find the dealer again, who now effectively has control over her.
This movie has so much flavor, and junkie mode Mino’s performance is incredible. I consider this movie to be one of the highlights of her career, possibly ranking as high as top 3.
Really good stuff.
