Love seeing Nagae’s movies

What stumps me here with this series is –

I generally thought that Nagae only directed movies that Nagae was debuting, or that were sequels to movies Nagae debuted.

As far as I can tell, the first movie in this series had a different director.

That first had a comment that read

“. . . a feature that looks like it was directed by David Fincher . . .”

Emphasis on the director. But the director was Kimura Hiroyuki

Now, Nagae has directed most of the movies in the series.

But why? Why take over the series?

Bet there’s something behind it. And wish I knew what.

Recently Nagae Style movies call him 渥美清太郎 Atsumi Seitaro

Used to think that actor directed too, and was Nagae by another name.

Wonder what the director looks like.
