If one clicks on her hyperlink, for Tono Miho aka Tohno Miho, the site’s presentation reads

“Toono Miho

Alias: 通野未帆, とおのみほ, 澤口美帆, sawaguchi miho, 有村ちはる, Arimura Chiharu, Miho Tono”

There are two ways this actress has spelled her name. Tono and Tohno

And the site goes thru all that typing, NEVER spelling her name in a way her covers or Social Network have ever spelled it.

But as to all those other names the site lists as her “alias” names. Google Translate Romanizes them (atrociously) as:

Tōri No Miho, to ono Miho, Sawaguchi Miho, Arimura Chiharu, Miho Tono

Not sure if any of them are right. I certainly don’t remember her using any other names.

Just Tono Miho aka Tohno Miho 通野未帆

And the site’s mispellings Tsuno Miho and Toono Miho aren’t in the atrocities that Google Translate produced.

But I bet neither of the site’s (wrong) names Tsuno Miho and Toono Miho have ever been on any of her covers, or in any on screen credits, or any social media. . .

We can’t assume atrocity just because there are variants in spelling. I know of names (non-English) that are spelled 14 different ways and no one there would claim any atrocity is being committed. Romanization (like any translation) is a tricky business and even expert polyglots admit to ambiguities that cannot be asserted in any one way. I find these variances stimulating and hope to encounter more. For example, which spelling is correct Rachmaninov or Rachmaninoff? In the original Russian, they are written in one way with no variance. The other day I encountered Maria Aizawa/Ousawa in this site (and plenty more over the years).

I appreciate your thoughtful reply, Nikato, but I have to warn you you were troalled. Ousawa Maria’s case is puzzling. As far as I can tell she always consistently went by Ousawa Maria, didn’t she? . . .

Well, one has to take the risk. If the message gets my attention and I feel I can add some value, I respond. Too bad about the name stealing. This site can do a better job with names (suppress invisible characters, ensure unique names etc.) so the name stealers are thwarted. I am not familiar with Maria Aizawa, just happened to come across. There was a Maria Ozawa during the classic golden era (my phrase!).

For reference, a tropical night is a term used in many European countries to describe days when the temperature does not fall below 20 °C (68.0 °F) during the nighttime. This definition is in use in countries including Austria, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

It would be interesting if the movie had been shot in one of these country (as would be finding out which).
