Interesting spin – that word “rant.”

So – Why I wonder, doesn’t the site just spell her name correctly?

You see, I’ve commented Many a time about misspelled names. And the comments almost always led the site to fix the spelling error.

Take just this past week for example. I commented:

“五芭 goes by Itsuha, Romanized. Her name shouldn’t be Romanized as Goba”

And the site fixed it promptly. See

Quick, simple, polite. . . And no one trolled

Years ago, I’d commented about Kawakita Saika being called Ayaka, and about Kominata Yotsuha (with an h) being called Yotsuba (with a b). And other name issues. No trolling resulted.

So – query: Why should the site obstinately persist in using a wrong name? Any wrong name. Are there good reasons?

And are there any good reasons why the site should persist in only using a wrong name for a few select idols? Like Miho Tono/Tohno

Change can’t be avoided. We are destined to become everything we were, and less.

But of the people who comment, it seemed to me that you are actually among the few who show intelligence, and at time, that there are things you care about. Issues you might even be willing to research.

Could be wrong.

I KNOW name stealing goes on here. And KNOW that I could be replying to an impersonator’s impersonation.

But – for example – some people care about Kawakita Saika. And some of us care, at least a little, that the site might actually still attract comments from rational, intelligent people.

Insights aside, I replied seeing intelligent help.

Not to add any of my “insights.”

And not to seek any meaningful answer from the “Admin.” (whoever that might be. I suspect the Admin is like the Dread Pirate Roberts – ever changing)

But I’d like the help of someone intelligent who cares. Anyone really.

I’d truly like the believe there’s some basis for using the names we use.

I believe in using the name Kawakita Saika.because she Obviously goes by it. So many agree.

But the Miho Tono/Tohno Tsuno thing is trivial compared to what I saw recently

有馬ひかり Arima Hikairi’ obviously went by the name 有馬ひかり Arima Hikairi, back in the day, if to a much smaller audience than Kawakita Saika’s.

If Arima Hikairi goes by, or ever went by Kobayashi Maiko 小林麻衣子 – that’s news to me.

I couldn’t be more suspicious if the site changed Arima Hikari’s name tag to the name “Goro” and pasted his splotchy-belled visage there, as if Arima Hikari should be known by that name and is shown is in such a clearly wrong picture

I’d commented at the start of Amagami Ui’s career about what her name is, Romanized on her covers

And the site to its credit seems to have avoided the “wrong name” problems for her.

(In contrast, other sites almost always slaughter her name, posting something like “Tenjin Ugoromo” or “Tenjin Hagoromo” )

The site’s actions included correcting the occasional error. See, for example, the removal of the error from the title translations for

FWIW, I’ve recently gone thru a metamorphosis.

Instead of being one of the knights who say “Ni!” – I am now changed, and say Ekke Ekke Ekke Ekke Ptang Zoo Boing!

Why?

For the same reason the site posts about 70% troll posts, and nearly no meaningful comments ?

But who knows.

Maybe there are good reasons to be pro-troll and to use names for actresses that the actresses never, ever, never used.
