Are you saying my use of the two-letter word “so” irritated you so that you typed up that comment about phatic expressions?

You get an “A” on your reading comprehension, troll. Those are exactly the kinds of comparisons, listing times in the movies, and one of the movies that I’d posted about in my prior reply to WTF from June 7 that began:

If I were a professor, and a student in my class said something like that during class discussion, I’d quietly secretly beam and say “my students are doing their reading, applying it, thinking independently but in the manner reflecting that they did their reading. . .”

Now – as to the contents you wrote about, the teeth comparison – I’d written:

“. . . Saw that their teeth were slightly different. But teeth move, because of orthodontia – or not wearing your retainer. . . or . . .”

Thus I’d looked for beauty marks. . .

Anyway, troll. Nice use of “his.” It can be important, can humanize things, to insert a grammatical error or a colloquialism, so as to avoid sounding too intellectual. An inserted error can makes you sound like one of da people. . . Good writing.
