But baffled that the Otogoto still survives some the spelling corrections the site has made.

She’s never been Otogoto anywhere. Well, not anywhere other than the world of incorrect translation and erroneous spelling .

Misread the title translation.

Otogane this time. . .

Her name 音琴るい is romanized / spelled Negoto Rui on her covers, any/every time it has been romanized/spelled.

Rui is るい when romanized

音琴 (which isn’t on the cover here) has been Negoto when romanized – every time

The title here reads:

The title 犬嗅ぎ娘るい編 (per Google Translate) romanizes to

Inu kagi musume rui-hen

犬 Inu Dog

嗅ぎ kagi sniff/sniffing
娘 musume girl

No need to misspell her name some new way. . .
