This title should have read Step-Mother, i.e. his father’s young next wife, not Mother in Law, which would be his wife’s mother – if he had one.

But this is clearly him living with his father and the father’s beautiful young wife.

In Nippongo/NIhongo 継母 mamahaha means both.
