Attempted to read up on this unusual title, which left me really wishing I understood Nippongo/Nihongo – or Chinese. (And that I hadn’t led a sheltered life)
The title’s biggest characters read:
三国志 Sangokushi Romance of the Three Kingdoms

(三 San being three)
Read that the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, whether it comes up via a video game, TV show, cosplay theme, etc., originates from the14th-century historical novel attributed to Luo Guanzhong. (traditional Chinese: 三國演義; simplified Chinese: 三国演义 – Oh and the Three Kingdoms of Cao Wei, Shu Han, and Eastern Wu dominated China from AD 220 to 280 following the end of the Han dynasty.)
With apologies to any and all who know the TV series, animated TV series, game, novel, etc., this was all very new to me. . . Never got out to any Chinese Hanfu cosplay events, never read the book, played the games. . . . Never did I ever

Found a studio description of this AV that I believe translates to:
A beautiful mature woman who loves the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Inoue Ayako, will talk about the Romance of the Three Kingdoms to the fullest. First, she appears in a cosplay of Ryo Moro. Her dignified posture suits her very well.
Wasn’t sure of the translation, as I saw a “○” redaction in it, or particularly saw:
まずは諸○亮のコスプレで登場。
Mazuwa sho ￮ Ryō no kosupure de tōjō.
But – Google translate from that gave me:
“First, she appears in a cosplay of Ryo Moro.” No “○” emerging.
Gave up on trying to understand that. Googleing “cosplay Ryo Moro” got me nothing.
Thanks Googled that name. Got a Wikipedia article about Zhuge Liang spelling that name: 諸葛亮 Seems to match 諸○亮 🙂 So – now with the unredacted characters, Google Translate says the line reads: まずは諸葛亮のコスプレで登場。 Mazuwa shokatsuryō no kosupure de tōjō. First, she appeared in cosplay as Zhuge Liang. But I’m puzzled. One – Why redact the name? Two – Why would a female cosplay as a male? Zhuge Liang sounds Quite male in the Wikipedia article . . . “Zhuge Liang (181 – September or October 234), also commonly known by his courtesy name Kongming, was a Chinese statesman, strategist, and inventor who lived through the end of the Eastern Han dynasty (c. 184–220) and the early Three Kingdoms period (220–280) of China. Yes, Zhuge Liang is a man. Most famous characters in 3 kingdoms are. I guess it’s just a fun cosplay.
I guess it is time for me to dust up the multi DVD Chinese TV series that has been gathering dust in my closet and binge watch before viewing this!
