For realism, no I don’t have a suggestion for a studio better than Nagae Style. Not presuming that we understand realism to mean the same things. But as to “as good as” – perhaps Madonna and FA Pro came to mind instantly. Nothing else did.

For me, the movies directed by Nagae are the real reason to keep up with what Nagae Style releases. I follow the studios mostly if I find I like the output of certain directors.

The studios that reminds me the most of the movies Nagae directed has been the one that released movies directed by Henry Tsukamoto

Saidobi- is a link the site used separately from its Nagae Style link. As I understand it, Side B is actually just the premium label of Nagae Style, not a separate studio.

I searched the site for “realism” There’s no tag for that term, and the serach didn’t turn up any other studios to recommend
