I watched 100% of Takasho videos since her debut, including her gravure videos as Shoko Takasaki and I, own 2 physical DVDs from her (MIDE-379 & TEK-077). And I have to say that I am truly disappointed by her surgery. Feels very weird to look at, I don’t know what everybody else thinks.
The movie is also a stinker tbh, it’s just fitting Sugiura takes the lead from the male actor side… to round things up.
Another thing that happened is that Shoko Takahashi gained some immediate popularity. I saw her ranking high on popularity charts and this DVD ranking super high too.
On the good side of things seems her face will “settle” a little. And her next video MIDE-696 looks very promising (cover below).

Judging from screencaps and the trailer, she looks particularly bad in this video because it was shot after her surgery and her face was still puffy. I think she looks better in the following video and more recent pics. Seems to me she’s going for bland “cute” looks, but I think most people would far prefer her earlier ones.
Her momentary popularity surge should not be understood as her surgery being successful, I think: if she regained the top spot, it was only because she had a “best of” video (that is, more releases). She’s dropped to number 16 in that latest ranking, the lowest she’s ever been since her debut IIRC. MIDE-686 didn’t become the bestseller for the month either, unlike nearly all her releases until a few months ago, when her popularity started to wane (which maybe pushed her to betting everything on surgery).

Absolute insanity. I can’t even watch this. She had her jaw shaved and shaped, her eyes modified, her nose thinned (I think), and filler. Lots of filler. One wonders what’s going on in this person’s mind, but then I’d rather not know.
