S1 themselves qualify Tano Yuu as THE cake.

S1 has been celebrating for a while their 20 years since foundation back in Nov 2024. If you go to their site, there’s an infographic summarizing the major events in their long history, that include: 07/2013 Kirara Asuka transfer, 11/2016 Mikami Yua transfer, 04/2017 first VR (with Yua), 04/2018 Kawakita Saika debut, 04/2021 Saika restart, 08/2023 Yua retirement, and finally 07/2024 Kanematsu Kiho debut and Tano Yuu debut.

So S1 place her as one of the 5 most noteworthy actresses in their whole history. They see her as the future (Kiho is very high level and a super pro but she’s in her mid thirties).

They couldn’t foresee there would be a force of nature called Seto Kanna who would break all records…

PS I really miss Hashimoto Arina in that infographic. And maybe RION. Going way longer back, Acky, Yuma, Sora and Aida Yua could be there too. They made S1 become the behemoth we know. But I understand the graphic would be too crowded. Still, Arina missing hurts. She’s maybe the first 100% “homegrown” S1 superstar. Earlier names come from other studios (Yuma was shared with AliceJapan).
