Violence, blood, drama and firearms!… Man, SSNI-373 was so fucking awesome. And to round it all up, Yura Kano in the best performance of her career, and looking that good. I only did an initial speed watch, but this is some good moments:

The plot goes like this: A group of college students is preparing the “Kiyomi-sai” festival (聖美祭), which is also a specialty of the school, and they decide to stay overnight at the school. At the same time, three jailbreakers take the school by storm with guns and all, kidnapping everybody and they begin target Kano-chan.
I can’t remember right now other Kano-chan drama releases but she did a really outstanding job. It’s her first rapey movie, and everything was carefully crafted. The story was really fun to watch and creative. Way better than anything I watched from S1 lately. And her… a total goddess.

Yeah, this is pretty remarkable. The gun/hostages/rapey themes remind me a bit of AVOP-072, but SSNI-373 is somehow more “movie-ish” than that video. Ambitious and well-executed. (Though I do wish they hadn’t done all the dim lighting early on. I’ve got no problem with trying to do stylist filmmaking, but forgodsakes, make sure to show the damn action!)
