The gimmick in MIDE-599 is “Sensitive Squirting SEX”, and it’s non-stop sex scenes for 4 hours. They brought some of the best mature actors they could find, including Yoshiya Minami, Taku, and Ozawa.
The video is seriously remarkable. The quality image MOODYZ always offers in their videos blows my mind, and they always care so much for awesome camera angles.
Is not only that MIDE-599 is clearly better than his cousin SNIS-356, but it’s also that it even destroys it up and down. After observing many of the recent movies from both studios, I conclude that MOODYZ is probably the best JAV studio in Japan right now, and S1 does not even make it to top 3, despite having the best JAV roster since probably ever.
A more fair comparison would be MIDE-599 vs MIDE-589, even then 599 is still the better video.
Yua is good my lads, I for one welcome our new JAV queen overlord, a true GOAT.

It’s not surprising Mikami’s crossover is better than Takashou’s. To begin with, S1 is very reliant on the SSS quality of its roster, but is clearly outdone by other studios as far as themes, “play” and angles go. Such are the servitudes of the rather softcore track they offer to their talent. Therefore, if you factor out the actresses, as done in these crossovers, Moodyz will usually win. If S1 didn’t have its all-star roster, it’d likely be below Ideapocket too… But there’s an even more important factor going on here: Mikami is well above Takashou too, in both ero IQ and professionalism. It is telling that whereas Mikami passes the “Taku test” (he’s a regular in her films and their scenes are always good, she even retorts the sucking and saliva plays), Takashou has got so many NGs she’s stuck with very repetitive stuff, even though she’s in the studio with more varied series to begin with. Yeah, I basically agree. Even Takasho has the best body (perhaps) but Yua is starring in better movies regularly.

I find it hard to say which studio is better between S1 and Moodyz.
They have standard releases (hardly do something new), but they are still of great quality (sometimes they are wrong too).
If I watch the rosters, from S1 we have: Mikami Yua, Ayami Shunka, Kano Yura, Usa Miharu, Amatsuka Moe, Hashimoto Arina, Aoi Tsukasa, Kojima Minami, Yumeno Aika, Okuda Saki, Yoshitaka Nene, Hoshino Nami, Sakamichi Miru, Hinana Hanon, Aoi, Matsumoto Nanami, Yumi Shion, Yoshizawa Akiho (still for a while).
While from Moodyz: Takahashi Shouko, Miura Sakura, Hatsukawa Minami, Tsubomi, Itou Chinami, Nanasawa Mia, Takasugi Mari, Shinoda Yuu, Jinguuji Nao, Mitani Akari, Shiina Sora (from Takasugi onwards are freelance but have, or have had, almost regular releases with Moodyz).
But I have recently moved a lot on SOD.
I think even S1 roster is way better but S1 series kinda suck right now. MOODYZ just with MIRD and MIMK beat them badly. Not to mention that both MIDE and MIAE are superb.
Something that S1 is doing very well right now is VR with SIVR, while MOODYZ MDVR is kinda weak even they brought Julia to help.
In my opinion, despite everything, they are equivalent.
But the nice thing is that everyone has their own preferences but we end up enjoying the show they offer us.
One thing we tend to forget is that part of S1’s strength lies in the sheer size of its exclusive roster (largest in the industry? trailed by Prestige and then maybe Ideapocket?). There’s only one place to get your fix of Hashimoto, Mikami or Amatsuka (except for occasional crossovers). On the other hand Moodyz’s hybrid approach, with a handful of exclusive (some shared with Wanz) and regular kikatan actresses, allow them to use kikatan actresses at the peak of their popularity. If you look at the current DMM/Fanza DVD (misnamed since includes BD sales too) sales rank, the top 5 actresses are/have been associated to Moodyz (either exclusive or regularly cast): Takashou, Shinoda Yuu, Hachino Tsubasa, JULIA, Mitani Akari. The 6th is S1’s Mikami Yua… Interestingly, Mikami Yua is the only S1 girl in the top 20. SOD only gets Sakura Mana and the newcomer Ishida Karen up there, and Prestige Suzumura Airi. If you only consider exclusive actresses, each one of the big studios gets 1 or 2 in the top-20 (the one missing is Ideapocket’s Sakura Momo, who’s dropped a little this month and makes #26). I think the exclusive actress business model works. The marketing value they receive in exchange is real. We now always remember these studios and value them despite what actress comes and goes.
A hybrid system makes sense too and it’s good to have the flexibility I guess.

Takasugi Mari announced an indefinite hiatus a few weeks ago. The poor thing was under such stress that she experienced hair loss and has been using a wig since August.
Shiina Sora just announced an exclusive contract with Wanz Factory. There’s a chance she could enter a double-exclusive agreement with Wanz + Moodyz though, they often share actresses.
