Stupid dopey husband borrows money from the wrong people so to cover his debts, the local goons take Nao-chan and enslave her. Nice!
The movie starts in media res with Nao already on the dark prison set as the “masked riders” arrive to violate her in the opening scene, but it’s between the subsequent rapes that we see her story in flashbacks as we see her being taken from her home by the Yakuzas and more importantly, the happy times she used to have with her husband before her life turned into hell.
There’s good drama material here but the structure doesn’t favor the end product, as it ends up being a series of rape fucks interspersed with the flashback sequences when it could have been a more impactful rape/humilliation feature if it had a more conventional structure.
Nao is on top form here acting and performance-wise, so it is truly a delight to see her getting abused, so there’s that. But I would have preferred a bit more scenery variety and a more explicit ending where we see her being completely broken. B, B-
