No, I was never a librarian in real life. One of my fraternity brothers became a librarian. As I recall, he married a librarian, and they had a few kids. Who I hope are avid readers. I do believe in encouraging reading.

I wish that a different tag other than “strip joint” be used for these. “strip joint” implies bored looking women artlessly gyrating to soulless thumping loud music while men play pool nearby. Yes, even this series has some formulaic milking entries, but the overall cultural differences are too significant to be labeled under the “joint” colloquialism. Maybe the original series can be labeled “strip theater (Classic)”?
Plus, 劇場 Gekijō translates to theater (building where performances are given)
Google Translate says that “Strip Joint” in Japanese is Sutorippujointo ストリップジョイント
Which just doesn’t work, and isn’t on the cover.
