Love Sasahara Yuri. And she’s one of the idol’s whose face I recognize, whose name I remember.

So this movie’s cover struck me as Very odd. Because it just doesn’t look like Sasahara Yuri. . .

Years ago, the movie “Persuasion” was sold with a cover that didn’t feature the stars, Amanda Root and Ciarán Hinds. Instead, marketers had hired models to pose for the VHS tape’s cover photo.  But that’s not what happened here. The cover photo is also featured as the opening credit image, the first thing seen in the actual movie. . .

Wonder what has happened here. If the photo is supposed to show some romantic fantasy she indulged in where she looked like a model on the cover of a bodice ripper paperback, with men tugging at her garments, instead of like herself, taken after she undressed herself quickly, mechanically, passionlessly, while her husband was covered in blood. Wondered whether a voice over explains it. 

Or if for some reason Sasahara Yuri was unavailable when the time came to shoot the cover photo. 

(Or if this could just be among the strangest, least recognizable photos Sasahara Yuri ever took. . .)

Found this description of the movie, in Japanese, but Google translate gave me this:

Sasahara Yuri deserved better. I’d say this is a good ending: Sasahara Yuri finds somebody who can satisfy her, and the cuck is told an important life lesson. Nagae offers priceless advice to new generations in a format that is both popular and easy to digest. He should be awarded for his life-long contributions to Japanese culture.

The 23 numbered movies so far in the series Posted True Stories – My Wife was Passed Around, not being the only movies that bore the title, settled down eventually to understandable numbering of the Nagae Style / Side B releases. But not from 8 to 13. Particularly . . .
