Scared I reached this stage in life with no class and no vocabulary.
I’d never seen the word “Sommeliere” before I saw this post. And I was a French major when I started college. After being a foreign exchange student in Bordeaux. France’s wine country.
Sommeliere – The member of staff at a restaurant who keeps the wine cellar and advises the guests on a choice of wines; a wine steward / stewardess, a wine waiter / waitress / server.
Etymology – from French – somme (“pack”) + -ier (suffix forming the names of jobs.) (Originally, a person in charge of the beasts of burden carrying wine.)
But Google translate tells me the title is longer. It says 精飲ソムリエール (Seiin somuriēru) means “Fine drink sommelier.” 精飲 meaning Perfect Drink or Fine Drink.
ソムリエール being the word that left me feeling ignorant.
But switch 精飲 in Google translate, telling the machine its Chinese, and it gives you “Essence Drink.” That looks more like what she’s modeling 🙂

Oh.
Wow. Wikipedia has quite an article on that.
And far down in the Japanese, I now see (semen): 精液 (seieki) in the article. Chinese and Vietnamese too. . . Thanks for the link.
So would the title be Sperm Sommeliere? Sperm Drink Sommeliere?
I’ll never learn Japanese.
MIGD-648, plus I think there are others with the term Sommeliere in them.
