The “fan” is supposed to be the male narrator, Mr. Kimura. He says he jacks off while thinking of his coworker, so the “movie” he is “watching” is supposed to be his fantasies of her. The whole treatment of the male character is strange, since we hear his thoughts, but the dialogue he is speaking to the woman is only shown as Japanese subtitles. It takes the subjective pov idea to new heights (or depths). Very weird all around.
