I like the new law. This only came about because management companies keep targeting children and then av companies hire them. They shouldn’t be hitting up poor parents and convincing them to make their older teens a source of income with sex. So it’s the av industry facing consequences for its own behavior. Leave high schoolers alone and stop targeting vulnerable college students struggling with tuition while glossing over that their reputations could be ruined, making college redundant, and then there is no need for the law. But they are predatory and incidents of assault keep happening on sets so it keeps going on. Directors themselves even talk about getting actresses drunk to make them “easier to deal with” as if that’s normal and conducive to consensual sex on set. Some companies are very above board, but then there’s others that operate in more indie ways where an actress is basically at the mercy of a bunch of men, often actors who also direct, and they want to have sex themselves without worrying about creating a safe work environment. Very informative. Many here will disregard this information because they only want their idols to have sex on film. But the new law is there because the industry is sloppy and refuse to conduct themselves rightfully.
In a Tweet a couple of days ago, Nao Jinguji was contemplating quitting the industry. Might not be related to this incident though.
In a IG post yesterday, Miki Sunohara stated that an adult film produced by GIGA just finished but due to the law, it couldn’t be released immediately which made her annoyed.
