I can’t begin to describe how affected I was by this video. Masterpiece? Yes, I think so. Perhaps the most psychologically complex yet of the “My wife was passed around” series in the Posted true stories.
Best drama of the year? The decade?

Indeed. What a great movie. You can tell a lot of creative thought and work went into this. One of those rare vids where you actually take note of the music they use to build up the tension. This studio is one of my all time favs. Love thier raw, real-life kind of vibe.

What to do with a hyper-sexual person. Its quite a question. There is a mainstream Finnish film (Levottomat 3) that deals with this topic without the usual moral trappings. It is brutal on those impacted, but they all realize that the woman’s condition has to be looked at as an addiction and not conscious moral choices (that is the argument that is made).
A Clockwork Orange had a different ending for the American and British audiences. In the one, he returns back to his marauding ways having been cured of the treatment that robs him of making a moral choice and be good out of compulsion (the idea is how the treatment – compulsive ingestion of drugs with controlled media insertion – works by association, but unfortunately has the side effect of associating the music he loves with nausea and that is the crux of the argument). In the other ending, he is cured of the drug, but grows up and gives up crime of his own choice.
True Stories, heard that one before many times…Well, they do happen (Ai No Corrida is based on a true story and that is as outlandish as they come) no doubt, so I am not too sceptical.

And the third you referenced, Addiction (Levottomat 3) Obsessions of a career woman And hadn’t known the movie endings of Clockwork Orange were different. (Despite, if I recall, having read the whole book. – Or did I just read a few chapters, having already seen the movie . . .) I definitely saw the American Version of the Movie. And also wonder what my dad would say, if he were alive, about things like this. He’d had a friend who was arrested on a “Vag-Lewd” charge for cruising public restrooms for public sex. Not that dad and I talked much about that friend or his arrest. Amazing that this challenging role went to one who only debuted recently, but the choice is a good one. Chinami’s performance is top notch, I wonder how she will ever top this. I watched a couple of her earlier features, she seemed more relaxed and confident in VEC-531, a bit stiff in VENX-146, but how could anyone see this coming from her?

Chinami is a ringer for the French porn legend Brigitte Lahaie (active during the Golden era in the 70s) from the neck upwards. They are totally different women downside of the neck. Would like to see her in a FA-Pro feature, she won’t get much screen time but intensity level would be high. But they don’t make them like they used to (Tsukamoto style). She could also feature in a investigator/lawyer type role like in RBD-675. In general, non-consensual leaves me cold. I can focus on the female and how well she is performing, but usually the males in such features are not well scripted. They tend to be plastic cutouts (leery, mouthy, grabby) and I don’t like watching them. Would be great if some thought is put into that and make the men real too. Or coming back to my Brigitte Lahaie theme, how about a remake of Parties fines (1977) contextualized to Japanese culture?
