How interesting. Learn something new every day. But were both right. The Cowbird and the Common Cuckoo are both obligate brood parasites, laying their eggs in the nests of other species. Just looked it up 🙂 (Wikipedia 🙂 )
The term cuckold comes from cuckoo, so your original post was right on the mark (if you scroll down the Wiki page, you would see this). Still I admire your politeness in accepting “were both right”. That is true too.
But the Cowbird is the nastier of the two, it being a mafia brood parasite. It typically targets smaller birds (like the Common Yellowthroat). And if the host bird detects a foreign egg and destroys it, the cowbird would destroy the host’s eggs in retaliation. Statistically, the host eggs have a better chance of survival if the host parent just accepts the foreign egg and brings up the alien chick (which is usually much larger than the host adult).
Regardless, these are female bird behaviors and happens at egg laying time. So it is not an exact parallel to the human male aspiration that is being discussed (not that that should stop anyone from aspiring).
Wish I had squirted it into other men’s wives. The closest I came was at a wedding receiption where I was a groomsman. A married bride’s maid stroked my member, as the bride sat next to us, watching, horny before she consummated. (Oh Demon alcohol)
