I think maybe there’s a lot of things you needed to do before landing an acting spot. It’s not like directors will put you on a scene with other actress without any prior knowledge/experience in the industry, that would really be a headache in your part.
Chrissake, look at their male actors. Some of those guys didn’t have gray hair and pot bellies 30 years ago lol

It has been for many many years. And there are many reasons given.
Well, I always like to believe its an endurance, hygiene, and work ethics.
But biggest obstacle is definitely you have to be fluent in Nihongo.
