You could tell Suzumori was going to be special from her first video. Her energy, enthusiasm, confidence, and eye contact were beyond what the majority of actresses achieve in their entire career. To say she is/was a natural is an understatement. And after setting her own bar unprecedentedly high, she gets better and hotter and sexier with every performance. Suzumori is truly perfection. But I can’t help but lament the fact that she (and we) is/are stuck with the same crop of 35-55 year old dudes that should have retired years ago. It’s truly an indictment on the decision makers at prestige (and the majority of studios) that they can’t give her even one male co-star within 15 years of her age in a nearly four hour video. I can’t help but think we would get better performances out of all of the God Mode performers if they weren’t partnered with the same 10 or so dudes old enough to be their dads/grandads in 95% of their scenes.

But I’m going to hold off on condemning every dude in Japan and suggest the industry could hire enough male talent to replace everyone in the industry twice over literally tomorrow if they raised wages. The shortage of male talent isn’t because guys don’t want to work in JAV, it’s because guys don’t want to work in JAV for the wages being offered. The shortage isn’t a result of bizarre cultural phenomenon unique to Japan brought on by globalization, isolation, alienation, technology, modernity, blah, blah. It’s basic economics; if nobody wants to work for your company it’s because you aren’t offering adequate compensation. I don’t doubt there are societal and cultural forces in Japan deterring men from participating in the industry, but that can be offset by the opportunity to bang literally some of the hottest women in the world on a regular basis. Apologies, it’s not money that discourage male from entering industry. Its the Stamina.
