I tried to respond in earnest from past notes, but all my attempts were deemed “unacceptable” by the site’s AI.

My original comment was intended to confirm to the OP that the video was as bad as he thought it would be. I have watched several in the various series ranging from dull to brilliant. This one was on the duller side. I had typed out summaries for some that I kept notes for, but as said before, they were rejected. Maybe the AI was offended by my opinions.

That’s interesting about the computer not allowing you to comment.

I’ve found that certain words will make the post automatically rejected. Words like ch*ld. Or Ind*an. Wonder what will happen if you try again putting an asterisk in the place of a possible “bad” word.

Funny you didn’t like it.

I loved, it, and have been salivating, champing at the bit waiting to read it subtitled. . . And our tastes are often fairly similar . . .

For my part, I usually absolutely HATE any movie featuring the actor who plays the husband in this.

Nagae Style posts credits for the actors in its movies. Because of that, I learned the actor’s name is トコマまこと

I used to like “Nagae style” when it was not so heavily focused on misery, but of late, it has become a very essential element. The bevy of males surrounding the woman seem to enjoy her discomfort more than being turned on by her. I’ve commented in defense of the husband actor several times (unfortunately, there is no way to search those) with my logic being that he is simply asked to project abject spinelessness (as a necessary component of NS) and he delivers. He has occasionally done roles that require some slyness or confidence and he actually does reasonably well (I am not going to nominate him for any awards!).

Re: tastes, I don’t think anyone’s matches anyone else’s here (at least going by the limited number of meaningful posts here). I am mostly here looking for retro content that could bring back the magic of Henry Tsukamoto/Gunji Kawasaki etc. It is getting rarer these days, but still they do come. I have said many times here that I do not have much respect for contemporary JAV scripts and their stress on misery and cruelty (the Nagae style which I don’t value highly at all).

This movie was so wonderful. Big Nagae Style cast, great directing by Tameike Goro-, and wonderful acting from Irita Maaya.

She’s so expressive, has such a dramatic voice. She reads her lines wonderfully, shows her emotions on that made-for-drama actress’ face, and that figure. . . Wow.

Loved this from the first start of music in the opening credits (classical, with violin) to the dramatic change to a Jpop sound for her stripping routines on the まな板 Manaita

The plot made it wonderful too. Its basics:

To pay off her husband’s debts, former stripper Maaya has returned to the stage, but is hiding her past.

However, a loan shark discovers her identity and forces her into a sexual relationship.

Meanwhile, her husband, Hideo, who has learned his wife’s secret, is not devastated but instead finds himself aroused by his wife on stage, refusing to help her and continuing to let her perform… (watching)

Quite a premise.

まな板 Manaita is sometimes used as slang for illegal strip shows (called 本番Honban “the real thing”) in which strippers directly engage in sexual or simulated acts with customers. Slang because the stage is a flat platform like a cutting board.

Loved this movie, and thought about how new it seemed.

It basically adds this husband’s back story and reactions to an amazing prior series’ premise. That’s:

Wish this movie had cast a different actor as the husband. Nagae Style has used different, better actors in the past to play husbands who like to watch their wives. For instance,

Read it subtitled just now. Subtitled so nicely that every word of the song at the start of the movie, the song as she dreams, remembering what she used to do, is translated.

Really hope the site posts this as one of its subtitling choices.

This is a masterpiece. The plot, script, acting, sets, costumes, music, directing – Everything

This HAS to be one of the best and most original movies Nagae Style have ever done.

After such high praise, I figured that it is worth another try. After the 2nd viewing attempt, I realize that I was wrong to call it “on the duller side” the first time. My reaction were even more negative. Not the worst ever, but poor acting, marred by a jaded script. Nothing against Irita Maaya, but the men performing the menacing roles would hardly find a place even in an amateur acting club. Compared to their shallow hamming, the much-maligned husband character came off much better (just by the sheer comparison). I couldn’t go past the first half-hour. But since Nagae Style is a no-view for me, I figure it fits.
